Big River Watch: 2026 Spring Survey Results

Between the 24th and 30th of April 2026, thousands of people across the UK and Ireland stepped outside, spent time by a river, and got involved in our latest Big River Watch, helping us build a clearer picture of river health.

With an incredible 5,538 people taking part and 2,397 surveys submitted, it was our biggest spring survey yet! A huge thank you to everyone who got involved and made it one to remember.

From adding Irish as a new language option in the app, to national and regional media coverage, and the many riverside observations capturing both the beauty of our waterways and the challenges they face, there is plenty to celebrate and share from this campaign.
